Citizen Comments - Any citizen wishing to appear before any regular meeting of the City Council to speak: shall contact the City Manager’s Office of that fact to provide the City Manager’s Office the subject matter that will be addressed, no later than seventy-five (75) hours before the meeting at which the citizen wishes to appear; or shall sign up to speak at the City Council meeting itself in regard to any item posted on the City Council agenda under the “Citizen Comment Period.” Or, a citizen may sign up to speak at the City Council meeting itself on a topic that is not posted on the agenda under the “Open Citizen Comment” period. Consent Agenda - Items considered to be routine and enacted by one motion without separate discussion. If the City Council desires to discuss an item, the item is removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.
Public Hearing - 6:00 p.m. - Community Development: Consideration of the Five-Year 2014-2019 Consolidated Plan and One Year 2014 Action Plan. Each plan outlining the community's housing and development needs while identifying strategies which will be used by the Community Development Department.
Resolution - Planning: Consider a resolution approving and granting a variance from the applicable 300-feet minimum distance provisions of City of Lubbock Ordinance 2009-O0060 at the location of 2908 Parkway Drive, a Tobacco Road store requesting an off-premise alcoholic beverage permit.
Resolution - City Manager: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the City of Lubbock, Texas, the Electric Utility Board of the City of Lubbock, Texas and the West Texas Municipal Power Agency setting forth a timeline and procedure for the Request for Proposal process for 2019 electrical generation resources.
Board Appointment - City Secretary: Consider one appointment to the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG) Board of Directors.
Board Appointment - City Secretary: Consider one appointment to the Transportation Policy Committee of the Lubbock Metropolitan Planning Organization (LMPO).
Board Appointments - City Secretary: Consider one appointment to the Audit & Investment Committee, eight appointments to the Building Board of Appeals, three appointments to the Civic Lubbock, Inc. Board of Directors, five appointments to the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission, and three appointments to the StarCare Board of Trustees.
